Larry the Cable Guy tickets are some of the most sought-after comedy tickets on the market today. Enjoy a night of stereotypically Southern comedy, delivered by self-proclaimed redneck Larry the Cable Guy. His likeable persona and hilariously honest depiction of life in the South make for a memorable evening that only Larry the Cable Guy tickets can provide.
Born Daniel Whitney on February 17, 1963, Larry the Cable Guy grew up on a pig farm in Nebraska before his family relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida. It was here that Larry got his first taste of the world of stand-up comedy. He performed at a local comedy club on a dare in 1986, unaware of the success that fateful night would bring him. Two years later, he set out in pursuit of a career on the stand-up comedy circuit. This quest brought Larry back to West Palm Beach, where he eventually became an emcee at the local venue The Comedy Corner. While there, he had the privilege of introducing such up-and-coming comics as Dennis Miller and Jerry Seinfeld, among others. Determined to make a name for himself, Larry was soon entertaining the masses with his down-home sense of humor, making appearances on Evening at the Improv, Comedy Central, and MTV.
The character “Larry the Cable Guy” was first introduced in 1992 on a morning radio show in Tampa, Florida. Larry became so popular that he eventually became syndicated throughout Orlando, and thus began the domino effect, with even more radio stations following. He continues to dominate the radio market, currently airing daily on over 35 markets and regularly lending his commentary to Jeff Foxworthy’s Country Countdown show, which airs on over 100 markets.
Larry the Cable Guy’s first album, Lord, I Apologize, was released in 2001 and was met with great success. Larry’s greatest success, however, has been his involvement with Jeff Foxworthy’s Blue Collar Comedy act, which also includes Southern comedians Bill Engvall and Ron White. While Larry the Cable Guy fits right in on this tour, which pokes fun at the Southern stereotype, he manages to stand out with onstage antics as well as his signature sleeveless flannel shirt. The tour was eventually turned into a feature film, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie. The film was soon followed by sequels Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again in 2004 and Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road in 2006, both of which aired on Comedy Central. His growing popularity earned Larry the Cable Guy his own feature film in 2006, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector. Larry also lent his talents to the 2006 Disney/Pixar release Cars, in which he did voiceover work.
