Team Information

To the surprise of NFL fans everywhere, Arizona Cardinals tickets have become one of the hottest NFL tickets around. But maybe it shouldn’t be such a surprise. After all, the Cardinals are entering the 2006 NFL season with a brand new stadium, a new running back, a young quarterback with loads of potential, and the feeling that this may be the year Cardinals fans are lining up for NFL Playoff tickets. All the stars are in alignment for the Cardinals and the end result has been a crushing demand for Cardinals tickets.

Dennis Green hasn’t been blessed with great running backs. Or at least he hasn’t had running backs that performed well in Arizona. That situation had to be addressed and the Cardinals organization did a fantastic job by signing Edgerrin James away from the Indianapolis Colts. The price was huge. James asked for and got a $30 million deal over four years. Big numbers for sure, but “The Edge” immediately upgrades an anemic running game that was the NFL’s worst in 2005, averaging only 71.1 yards a game. Since J.J. Arrington was a big disappointment, producing only 370 yards, look for Marcel Shipp to be the backup. But there’s no doubt that Edgerrin James will be the focus of the running game in Arizona and his addition to the squad opens up a slew of options on offense.

After scoring with James the Cardinals hit it big again in the NFL draft by having USC quarterback Matt Leinart fall into their laps at the #10 spot. Naturally the Cardinals are saying that Leinart will sit out the season behind veteran Kurt Warner while he’s learning the ropes. But don’t be shocked if Leinart sees more game time than what’s projected. Warner has been solid but not spectacular. He threw for only 11 touchdowns in 2005 while being picked off nine times. But it’s Warner’s penchant for getting hurt that will probably put Leinart on the field. Warner missed six games in 2005 and hasn’t been under center a complete season for five years. Besides, you don’t draft a quarterback like Matt Leinart  to let him sit the bench. Not for long anyway. The fans in Cardinals Stadium will be demanding his presence on the field.

Whether it’s Warner or Leinart slinging the ball the Cardinals still boast one of the most impressive pairs of wide receivers in the game. Anquan Boldin snagged 102 catches for 1,402 yards and 7 touchdowns, while Larry Fitzgerald earned a Pro Bowl ticket with 103 catches for 1,409 yards and 10 touchdowns. While production from the tight end position has been lacking, the Cardinals used the NFL draft to select Leonard Pope in the 3rd round. Pope is a huge target at 6’ 7” and the addition of a pass catching tight end can only help the offensive production.

It didn’t take fans long to add up all the changes and start scooping up Arizona Cardinals tickets. A huge wave of optimism is surging over the Cardinals organization. The new Cardinals Stadium, which may be the best stadium in the NFL, carries a retractable roof, huge TV screens, and a host of fan friendly features. The new Arizona Cardinals squad carries a premiere NFL running back, a pair of receivers that are the envy of the league, a Super Bowl MVP quarterback with Kurt Warner and a young quarterback with tons of potential. Anything less than a playoff appearance for the Cardinals will be a disappointment. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, Arizona Cardinals tickets have new life in the desert.
