San Diego Chargers Team Info

A vacation to always-sunny San Diego isn't a vacation without attending a Chargers game. Beautiful California will once again be the place to catch a Super Bowl contender, one loaded with some of the NFL's biggest stars. LaDainian Tomlinson has become the top running back. Mammoth tight end Antonio Gates has followed suit, and is the league's top pass catching big man. And, defensively, linebacker Shawne Merriman has drawn comparisons to the great Lawrence Taylor. With all this talent, there's no reason head coach Marty Schottenheimer can't bring the Chargers all the way to the top.

The 2011 football season is stacking up to be a banner year at San Diego. The AFC West is one of the toughest conferences and the top teams will each have to be dealt with. The Chargers' non-divisional schedule is no easier. San Diego must face both of last year's Super Bowl participants. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger visits on Oct. 8, and the Chargers head north on Christmas Eve. But no matter who's in town, with balmy temperatures and sunny skies year round, fans all over should invest in seats.
