Miami Dolphins Team Info

This year's Dolphins team will provide football fans with a live look at how big of an impact a head coach can have. In Nick Saban's first season at the helm of the Dolphins, he pulled enough strings to transform Miami from a 4-12 cellar-dweller to a playoff contender. Last year, the Dolphins won their last six games to finish at 9-7, just barely missing out on a spot in the playoffs. Saban orchestrated the turnaround with a makeshift cast of characters, but has steadily added his type of athletic and hardnosed players that he believes will be the Dolphins' ticket back to the SuperBowl, which, this year, will be held at home. Could this be the first year the home team reaches the Super Bowl?

Well, the potential is definitely there. The Dolphins' quarterback position was unsettled for much of last year, with a whole handful of signal callers seeing action. Saban addressed the problem in the offseason, acquiring a pair of experienced quarterbacks in Daunte Culpepper and former Joey Harrington.

The new Dolphins' quarterbacks will have plenty of weapons to orchestrate Saban's balanced attack. Second-year running back Ronnie Brown emerged in the second half of his rookie year and displayed the kind of ability that made the Dolphins take him in the first round of the Draft. Wide receiver Chris Chambers and tight end Randy McMichael are the final pieces to the puzzle. Chambers had his first 1,000-yard season last year, hauling in 82 balls and scoring 11 touchdowns. McMichael continues to prove that he is one of the top tight ends in the league. Both pass catchers will see their numbers improve with a proven quarterback at the helm.

Saban, who won a National Championship, is looking to bring a championship to Miami. He made gigantic strides in his first season on the sidelines and has bigger fish to fry in his second year in charge. Will the Dolphins make that leap in 2011? Find out by picking up seats to the Dolphins this season.
