Team Information
If you’re looking for a live look at one the NCAA’s most storied college basketball programs, then you are looking for UCLA basketball tickets. From the days of Bill Walton and John Wooden to the Bruins more recent success featuring stars like Baron Davis and Ed O’Bannon, UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion is a frequent stomping grounds for future NBA ballers. That tradition is continuing these days.
UCLA Bruins basketball tickets are hotter than ever as the gifted sophomore backcourt of Jordan Farmar and Arron Afflalo dazzles sellout crowds at fabled Pauley Pavilion. College basketball's most famous dynasty just keeps adding to its achievements, with the ultimate goal a 12th national championship.
Coach Ben Howland, now in his third year, has the Bruins playing an unselfish and entertaining style of basketball that has woken up the echoes of past glory. With Farmar, Afflalo, swingman Josh Shipp and 6-6 guard Cedric Bozeman leading the way, the Bruins are a special team that should not be missed.
Success is nothing new at UCLA, the standard for men's college basketball. The Bruins, thanks in large part to the "Wizard of Westwood" John Wooden, have brought home a slew of national titles. UCLA won it in '64, '65, '67, '68, 69', '70, '71, '72, '73, '75 and '95. Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), Bill Walton, Ed O'Bannon, Marques Johnson, Reggie Miller and Baron Davis are just some of the greats who have graced Pauley Pavilion, where UCLA is nearly unbeatable.
UCLA's longest winning streak in Pauley Pavilion was 98 games. The amazing run ended on Feb. 21, 1976 in a loss to Oregon. In the 1990s alone, UCLA went 138-17 at Pauley Pavilion. Ben Howland, who rebuilt programs at Northern Arizona and Pittsburgh, has brought UCLA back to its usual national prominence. After a two-year hiatus, he led the Bruins back to the NCAA Tournament in 2005. That followed a third-place finish in the Pac-10 as UCLA announced it return to power. Under Howland, the 12th head coach in the 86-year history of UCLA basketball, the Bruins went 18-11 including four conference wins in which they trailed by double digits. Now Farmar has more than a year of experience under his belt and has emerged as perhaps the best floor leader in the nation. He is one of the finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, an honor presented annually to the country's best point guard. It's become almost impossible for visitors to win at Pauley Pavilion, just like it was for decades. The Bruins are picking apart opponents such as USC, Arizona and Stanford on their way to conference dominance.
