Rockies home game tickets are available for Coors Field, one of the few stadiums in the majors that has an amazing effect on the game. Due to the high altitude of this Denver open air field the ball is launched off the bat into the stands prompting some to give it the nickname of“Coors Canaveral.” With the purchase of a ticket it not only permits one to catch a rockies baseball game but it also gives an amazing view of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

| Team Information
Colorado Rockies games are held in such a beautiful place; you would think baseball would be relegated to nothing more than an afterthought. In addition to the Rockies, the good folks who live along the front range can visit Pikes peak, Cripple creek or the Coors brewery. But they've been loyal fans in great numbers ever since the Rockies first game under Don Baylor back in 1993. Remarkably, they achieved a post-season berth in 1995 on the strength of an imposing offense led by Larry Walker, Andres Gallaraga and Dante Bichette.
Playing in Mile High Stadium, the Rockies drew an incredible 4.5 million fans. The Rockies haven’t approached those numbers since the move to Coors Field although three million paying customers was the norm for quite a while. In recent years, the Rockies erratic play has thinned out the crowds. Last year’s disappointing 67-95 finish must be improved upon to ramp those numbers back up where they belong. GM Dan O’Dowd and Manager Clint Hurdle are going to be putting their faith and hope of continued employment in an array of young talent.
Rockies player, Jeff Francis who finished 14-12 in 2005, with a Coors Field-like ERA of 5.68, anchors the starting staff. Young Mr. Francis will be a force if he cuts a run and a half off that figure. Aaron Cook is another young arm from whom great things are expected, while Byung-Hyun Kim and Jason Jennings must contribute. To strengthen the Rockies bullpen, O’Dowd brought in Jose Mesa to go along with closer Brian Fuentes’ 31 saves. They’ll receive support from an offense led once again by Todd Helton supported by Matt Holliday and Brad Hawpe.
The NL West is there for the taking. Rockies fans have always been there so home field advantage will not be a problem. If O’Dowd and Hurdle have figured correctly, the playoffs may return to the front range in 2007.
