Boston Red Sox Team Info

The Red Sox have shaken off the losers cloak that they struggled with for so long. But the fact that they took a World Series victory home to Beantown a couple of years ago isn’t enough to satisfy the crazed Red Sox fans that have filled Fenway Park for years of frustration. After enduring decades of pain, the Red Sox faithful are looking for years of glory and the 2011 Red Sox may be the vehicle that gives it to them.

What stopped the Sox was a slew of injuries to the pitching staff. Faced with weak production from the mound the Sox were forced to try and hit their way into the World Series and it just didn’t happen. It was good enough for second place in the AL East though, which seems to indicate that if the Red Sox can get their pitching house in order they can go a long way toward returning to the post-season glory of 2004. The Red Sox will need their pitching because the offense is bound to suffer from the loss of center fielder Johnny Damon. First baseman Kevin Youkilis is slated to fill the spot vacated by Damon and should be able to hold the line while the Sox regroup. Third baseman Mike Lowell, who came along in the trade for Beckett, will surprise a lot of people with his bat.

Look forward to enjoying your Red Sox game tickets. Fenway Park is legendary and the seats are filled with baseball fans that have paid their dues, enjoying both agony, and in recent years, the ecstasy of MLB. In 2011 the Red Sox are healthy, hungry, and talented enough to unseat any team for the top spot in the AL East. It’s something Red Sox ticket holders are looking forward to.
