It’s time for Cheetah Girls, the popular book series first found its way into print, then it was on to the movies and a countrywide tour that’s drawing thousand with every performance. Parents don’t have to worry about this singing act. The Cheetah girls are fun, wholesome and a great experience for everyone in the family. The show first came to life in a book by author Deborah Gregory about a group of five girls just dying to get into the music business and banking on being discovered by a record producer. These are girls who will deal with any obstacle to fulfill their dream. Finally the they are discovered and their singing career begins.
The popularity of the book series resulted in the creation of a film by Walt Disney. Raven, the popular star of her own TV show, plays Galleria Cheetah. The part of Chanel Cheetah is played by Adrienne Bailon, while Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan play Aqua and Dorinda. The Cheetah Girls was a big hit with the younger crowd and as a result three of the cast (Adrienne, Kiely, and Sabrina) decided to keep performing as the hot pop band The Cheetah Girls, with the biggest fan club Disney has ever seen, a platinum album, and hit singles to their credit. Songs like “Cheeta-licous Christmas” have now found their way into the mainstream play of young girls and even parents are joining the fan club. And things just keep getting bigger. In 2005 the group was a part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as the Disney Christmas parade. All done of course in the traditional Disney family entertainment style.
