Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox, and Joe Don Rooney make up the highly successful country music trio Rascal Flatts. The group happened upon their name, which refers to a land formation in Oklahoma, by the suggestion of a friend who had used it for one of his old bands. The award-winning group debuted with their self-titled album in 2000 and over the last six years has taken the country music genre by storm. Since then, the superstar group has gone from opening for such acts as Alan Jackson and Toby Keith to headlining their own sold-out concerts across the country.
Since the band’s conception, they have recorded four full -length albums : Rascall Flats, Melt, Feels Like Today, and Me and My Gang, with each of the albums having singles on the US Hot 100 Chart and in the top ten on the US country charts. They have even had four US Country number ones. Their latest release, Me and My Gang, was released on April 4, 2006, debuting at number on the Billboard charts, and has since reached double platinum sales. The group set out on tour in support of Me and My Gang in February 2006. While on the road, Rascal Flatts have entertained the masses, performing their high-energy concert in front of sold-out venues across the country.
