Event Information
Nationwide 3 Doors Down band tickets are selling fast for this group who are well recognized as one of the top performing bands on the music scene today. In their earlier days the band, originally a trio of vocalist/drummer Brad Arnold, guitarist Matt Roberts, and bassist Todd Harrell, realized their potential wasn't being met and decided to add another guitarist (Chris Henderson) and a studio drummer so that Arnold could focus his attention on singing full time.
The group played in smaller shows for a while before 3 Doors received attention at their local radio station with their single "Kryptonite." The song created enough buzz to get the band to New York to play at CBGB's where they met with representatives from Republic Records, a subsidiary of Universal, and the band released their major-label debut in 2000 with "The Better Life." The album featured Kryptonite, which caught on with audiences all across the world, but also included other hit singles like "Loser" and "Be Like That." "Away From the Sun" was the band's next album, released in 2002. The album was as successful as the members could have hoped for and included singles like "When I'm Gone" and the slightly slower "Here Without You" which was played more in the pop market. Behind the success of these two songs, the album debuted at number eight on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified gold soon after.
November of 2003 3 Doors Down released "Another 700 Miles," a live EP that would serve as filler before their next big studio release. That big release would turn out to be unbelievable because in early 2005, "Seventeen Days" was released, debuted at number one on the charts, and was certified platinum in its first week of sales. The success could be attributed to the unreal attention paid to the hit single "Let Me Go" which will end up being one of the biggest hits of the year. Behind catchy guitar riffs, a steady vocal effort from Arnold, and verses that almost everyone can relate to, the band struck a chord and took full advantage. 3 Doors Down will continue to tour and has recently found a new audience in the form of NASCAR fans. Arnold has long been an avid fan of the late Dale Earnhardt and his son Dale, Jr. and during the 2005 season, the band has been closely affiliated with the top division of racing.
