Kenny Rogers was born August 21, 1938. He was born into family with seven brothers and sisters and with little money. Rogers started in music career in high school with a band called the Scholars. They had some success, but disbanded after a couple of years. Rogers jumped into the solo world in 1958 with a minor hit called "That Crazy Feeling". Through the years, Rogers has been a part of various groups in various genres. His success really took off when he went out on his own again in 1976 with the major hit single "Lucille". Since then he has released over 65 albums and over 80 singles, 21 of which have made it to the number one spot on the country music charts.

This singer, songwriter, actor and record producer has been in show business for over 50 years. Kenny Rogers shows no signs of slowing down. His latest tour will include performances around the country.
